2017 Picpoul Blanc - A new addition to Paix Sur Terre’s lineup! These Glenrose Vineyard grapes are sourced from two parts of the property: the warm southern exposed summit and the much cooler, east facing ridge line. The two distinct exposures balance beautifully to create an incredibly complex palate with flavors of Meyer lemon, lime, and a delicate salinity.
If you haven’t had Picpoul Blanc, this is going to be a very exciting wine for you to try! Picpoul translated into English means “lip stinger” and has bright citrius notes that perk up your palate (like Sauvignon Blanc mixed with Vinho Verde) with a subtle oiliness that coats your mouth and leaves you wanting more. This is our usual go-to during the summer months because the wine itself reminds us of an early morning walk by the ocean, and who wouldn’t want that captured in a bottle?
