2015 landed right in the middle of a 6 year drought in California. While this was (sadly) detrimental to many ecosystems, it made a fantastic Pinot Noir. Because of the warmer weather and lack of rain, the 2015 crop was picked earlier than usual. This produced smaller berries with concentrated fruit flavors but with exceptional quality and character. The harvest was very small - it only produced about 40% of what the 2014 vintage brought in.
